Q. What is a Venue Partner System (VPS)?
A. This is a new offering from Ticketstobuy®. Starting in 2021, Ticketstobuy® developed, tested and released a general admission product (reserved ticket system coming soon) that allows a venue, producer or organization to promote, produce and manage its own ticketing system. Controlling a system includes setup of tickets, to printing, to system management, to printing and scanning. All for a small fee per ticket sold. For more information on how your venue can utilize the VPS contact us at our email address: [email protected]
Q. Do we have to use a VPS or can we have Ticketstobuy® manage our ticketing needs?
A. You don’t have to use a VPS. Ticketstobuy® and our ticket website MyTicketstobuy.com provides full-service ticketing, taking the complex ticketing needs out of the hands of venue or producer’s management.
Q. What is a primary ticket system product?
A. In a nutshell, a primary ticket system seller is a venue’s “ticket seller of choice”. The Venue Partner System is built for this and are now available for general admission events. Resellers and scalpers are not primary ticket companies. They purchase their tickets from primary ticket sellers and resell them at a higher price.
Q. Are the Ticketstobuy® online ticket systems secure from Internet hackers and credit card thieves?
A. Yes. Our VPS online ticket system uses a secure and encrypted portion of our server once you begin the buying process. Cloudflare Software issues our SSL certificate (secure certificate) which authenticates that our server is officially secure against security issues involving the passing of your credit card or personal information across the Internet. Our ticket system is credit card compliant. Because of credit card compliance, certain precautions are required of all online merchants and should be practiced throughout the world. Such precautions include not storing private, personal information available to the general public, privacy of e-mail addresses from possible scammers and criminal theft of a person’s credit and credit card information.
Q. What are ticket processing or convenience fees?
A. A ticket processing fee is charged to cover the cost of processing your credit card during the transaction, the use of the secure server for your personal protection during checkout and related Internet transaction fees. A convenience fee is separate from a processing fee in that administrative expenses incurred by generating an order through our online ticket system and related support for our customer orders. Having a VPS, venues control their fee charges. With full-service ticketing, Ticketstobuy® decides the fee charges.
Q. Is Ticket Assurance available on our VPS?
A. Yes. Optional Ticket Assurance is not for change of plans. Ticket Assurance, when available, guarantees a refund in the case of a cancellation or postponement of an ENTIRE event. In the case of a postponement, Ticket Assurance assures a buyer the re-using of your tickets for the new date or a refund if you are unable to attend the new date. PARTIAL event refunds are never granted. With a VPS, the venue controls the use of this feature. Read more….
Q. Which ticket deliveries are available on a VPS?
A. Ticket deliveries in the VPS has 3 main delivery levels. The 3 delivery options are printable, eTickets, US Mail, 1st class mailing of physical tickets and Will-Call ticket pickup. The use of any or all of these deliveries is up to the venue and price per level is also determined by the venue. Will-Call is usually located at the event’s main ticket entrance and is sometimes free of charge. Will-Call is usually available only 7-10 days from the date of the event and up to online sales cutoff time, near door opening time. If Will-Call is chosen as the desired method of ticket delivery, we encourage the printing of the order receipt as part of the ticket pickup identification. A photo ID such as a drivers license or passport will also be required.
Q. What is an eTicket delivery?
A. The most popular ticket delivery today is an eTicket. The VPS allows a venue to design an event eTicket as well as a cost for a buyer using it. The process of eTicket delivery is once the an order completes, an email confirmation goes out to the buyer along with a pdf file which includes the ticket purchased. We offer Will-Call pickup at most of the concert events we represent. Usually when US mail 1st class is enabled, will-call pickup replaces the mailed ticket due to delivery time through the post office. We usually stop mailing tickets about 10 days from the event date.
Q. How does the 1st class mail work?
A. When available and chosen with a ticket order, the order is received by a venue and a mailout, printable batch is generated. Included with each batch are conventional hard stock tickets. This ticket delivery is convenient to buyers that do not want to use eTicket delivery and want a physical ticket to enter an event with.
Q. What is Will-Call pickup?
A. When available, a venue can offer Will-Call pickup at most of the concert events represented. Usually when US Mail 1st class is enabled, will-call pickup replaces the mailed ticket due to delivery time through the post office. Usually mailing tickets is switched to will-call about 10 days from the event date.
Q. Is our e-mail address sold to or used by any mass marketing service on the Internet?
A. No. A venue always keep your personal and credit card information private. We might only use e-mail addresses for announcements for upcoming Ticketstobuy® events. The venue’s employees and Ticketstobuy® employees can only access this information. We require an e-mail address (active, non spam tagged and working e-mail address ) for contacting you about your order or event changes.
